WORK IN PROGRESS
The Hospitality Committee is
currently hard at work on the schedule for community events for 2008-2009.
Events have been selected but not specific dates as yet. We've got some
new fun things in store for the year as well as some old favorites. There
will be Santa in the Park, the Halloween party, the Easter Egg Hunt, The
Ladies Get Together Luncheon, the Garage Sale, the Plant Exchange and the
4th of July Parade and Picnic among the oldies. We are also planning a
game day in January which should be great fun. We're hoping to be able to
repeat Movie and Sing A Long night.

SANTA IN
 RK
It’s
Almost that time again!! Santa in the Park will be held on December 6th,
2008. We will gather at 4 and dinner will be at 5. Dinner will be pot luck
with the Hospitality Committee providing sloppy joes and chips. Santa will
be arriving on the fire truck at 6. Watch this space for further details.

Cabell once took a picture of the sunset over Lake Monroe from his home along Sunset
Road on Stone Island. Everybody who saw the photo said that it couldn't be
true, it had to be a paint-by-number or airbrushed or something. But those
of us who have walked at
sunset under the Spanish moss hanging from the old live oak trees know that
it is true....."
